Form I-9 Employment Verification Fees

Per state law, I am unable to stamp/notarize I-9s, but I can verify identification and sign as an authorized representative.

• Proactive Notary serves as an authorized agent of the employer.

• The agent ​

  • (1) meets a remote hire employee to review Section 1 of their Form I-9 for completeness, accuracy, and readability,

  • (2) physically examines employee-provided identification documents, ensuring the documents are acceptable in establishing both identity and employment authorization,

  • (3) completes Section 2 of the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.

• Note: Unless otherwise instructed, the completed Form I-9 is returned to the employee.

• This is not a notarial act. A travel charge is additional.​

Form I-9: Document Package Drop Off Fee (optional add-on service) - $30

• The fee is for delivery of completed document packages to either UPS, FedEx or USPS Shipping Centers in Houston, Texas for customer pre-paid overnight shipping.

A cancellation fee is a standard practice in the mobile notary industry. If a notary travels to a location and the signing is canceled, a fee for travel and printing may still apply. This fee covers the notary's incurred costs, such as travel time and gas, even if the notarization doesn't take place
